  "message": "gdb: Add per-remote target variables for memory read and write config\n\nThis patch adds per-remote target variables for the configuration of\nmemory read- and write packet size.  It is a further change to commit\n\"gdb: Make global feature array a per-remote target array\" to apply the\nfixme notes described in commit 5b6d1e4 \"Multi-target support\".\n\nThe former global variables for that configuration are still available\nto allow the command line configuration for all future remote\nconnections.  Similar to the command line configuration of the per-\nremote target feature array, the commands\n\n- set remotewritesize (deprecated)\n- set remote memory-read-packet-size\n- set remote memory-write-packet-size\n\nwill configure the current target (if available).  If no target is\navailable, the default configuration for future remote connections is\nadapted.  The show command will display the current remote target\u0027s\npacket size configuration.  If no remote target is selected, the default\nconfiguration for future connections will be shown.\n\nIt is required to adapt the test gdb.base/remote.exp which is failing\nfor --target_board\u003dnative-extended-gdbserver.  With that board GDB\nconnects to gdbserver at gdb start time.  Due to this patch two loggings\n\"The target may not be able to..\" are shown if the command \u0027set remote\nmemory-write-packet-size fixed\u0027 is executed while a target is connected\nfor the current inferior.  To fix this, the clean_restart command is\nmoved to a later time point of the test.  It is sufficient to be\nconnected to the server when \"runto_main\" is executed.  Now the\nconnection time is similar to a testrun with\n--target_board\u003dnative-gdbserver.\n\nTo allow the user to distinguish between the packet-size configuration\nfor future remote connections and for the currently selected target, the\ncommands\u0027 loggings are adapted.\n",
